Food system crisis: Realising the dream of agroecology in the UK

  • Unitarian Church 5 Emmanuel Road Cambridge, England, CB1 1JW United Kingdom (map)

A gathering to show the latest developments in our film, Six Inches of Soil, announce our post-production crowdfunder and have a panel discussion on how we can work together to create a better food & farming system on a local and national level.

On the panel we'll have arable farmer Tom Pearson, Gavin Shelton of Co-Farm, Adrienne Gordon of Sweetpea Market Garden and Lizzie Sagoo, a soil scientist. Colin, the film’s Director, will host the event, followed by complimentary drinks and nibbles.

  • How would you characterise the problems and opportunities in the food system?

  • Why are we disconnected from food and how can we reconnect?

  • Is it possible to feed people and restore nature?

  • How can we scale these types of farms and realise the dream of agroecology?
